Justice for Lacole Hines |
In addition, the irony is -- that most of the individuals that have signed this Petition thus far -- are not residents of Prince George's County but are as far north as Maine, as far west as California, as far south as Florida and even from Hawaii. -- As Concerned Prince Georgians, I am hard pressed to believe that we are not willing to speak up for Lacole. If we don't care about what is happening in our own home, how can we expect others to care? Remember this Petition is going to our Governor -- in the State of Maryland. How can we possibly ask our Maryland Governor to understand how incensed his constituents are about this terrible tragedy if we are not willing to speak up? -- It only takes a second -- and you can sign your name where it is not for public consumption. It's your signature that counts! We employ you to express your concern and outrage by taking a few moments to speak up for Lacole Hines.
Remember -- with 48,000 outstanding arrest warrants in Sheriff Michael Jackson's office -- God forbid -- a tragedy of this magnitude could befall you or someone you love at any time. This tragedy cannot be allowed to be "swept under the rug". And -- Citizens of Prince George's County -- if you don't speak up about this -- that is exactly what will happen. Believe us when we say -- Sheriff Michael Jackson wants it to go away! He does not want to be held accountable for his inaction and in addition he does not want his arrogance and incompetence to come to light! He wants to keep us all in the dark. He wants us to forget -- and/or blame someone else for Lacole's death. It is time that we hold all of our elected officials accountable and that can only be done by shouting loudly against INJUSTICE!
Please take a moment and sign the petition for Lacole today. Let's give Lacole Hines Justice -- (click here)-- Since it's too late to give her life!

Consider that Prince George's residents may be SCARED to sign up. I know I am. I don't want my dog shot. Nor do I want to be on the radar of the Sheriff. Sad, but true. I will show my disgust on Election Day with my vote. Hint: It won't be for the Sheriff.
I agree with you Anon -- this Sheriff really scares me ... but it is more reason to make sure he doesn't WIN. I'm not going to sign either but believe me I am forwarding The Monitor to everybody I can to expose this man. And you know what scares me more than the Sheriff -- the thought of him winning. If we thought JJ was vindictive -- I shutter to think of being held hostage for 4 to 8 more years. I'm so happy that Rushern Baker have the courage to run and to take this evil man on. And, yes I will also show my disgust with my vote.
I can't stand Sheriff Jackson but he is not to blame for LaCole's death. Make no mistake, Marcus Shipman is to blame.
Okay, don't get it twisted. Jackson is responsible for LaCole Hines death. If he'd served the warrants, homeboy would have gone to jail, and he wouldn't have killed her. That's IT end of discussion! If she was your friend, sister, or mother you'd want justice!
If Shipman killed her, then Jackson is an un-indicted co-conspirator! He might as well drove the boy up to her and handed Shipman a loaded pistol. I thought the Sheriff is supposed to take dangerous criminals off the streets, not make excuses for failing to arrest them?
Jackson saying 48,000 warrants is no big problem is like George Bush saying Iraq has weapons of mass destruction.
How many other murders, rapists, and violent thugs are out there running the streets because Jackson is incompetent?
